The Northeast BBQ / Beamer Bash was a success...Sort of.

Thank you to everyone that made the trip.

I was running a little late (thanks to a lack of help), but when the guys showed up everyone pitched in to get this thing off the ground. Once the unit was together, we fired it up. A couple minutes went past and we were flaring the gas. Then we started pulling on the generator. The heat was not cooperating at all. With the 90'some degree heat and ULTRA high humidity, everyone who pulled on the genny were within minutes of heat exhaustion. So, in the interest of avoiding an ambulance ride, we quit pulling.

Jeff and Diane Currao made the trip from Beaver Co. and Brian and Deanne Miller made the trip from up around Clarion, Pa. It was such a pleasure to meet all of you and I loved all of the input and ideas. Thank you again for the help and the wood.

After the guests started to head out, a few more of my buddies, who haven't seen the unit before, showed up. They wanted to try to get the genny running, again. It had cooled down alot, so, I figured we'd give it another shot. We fired the unit, 2 minutes later, gas was flaring, then the pulling started. About 3 minutes of pulling and it fired right up. All I could think was, well that figures. Next time, electric start!

I also had my vehicle prototype on display. That sparked alot of questions. I am posting a video with a real quick glimpse of it. Not too much, just a little. Once it is in the truck and running, then you'll see more. With my scattering to finish setting up, I forgot to take any picture or video of the BBQ. I appologize. Jeff did have his camera there and I hope he decides to post them.
