What are your goals with gasification?
tinkering, home power, investment, commercial, other

Looked at this first last march or may

Got fired up on it for many reasons. Love a challenge and this is a small one for me.LOL Read on it and looked at it for about 9 months now hope to make it work.
Using junk from my pile putting one together based on a few designs I've sean on here. Saw the basic russian one gasifier to percipitation tank to cooler to blower to filter to engine. Looks easyer than it is . Got It mostly done fired it up but didn't lite even though I had gas got burn on outside eadge but not hole tube.

Started making mine Jan-10-10 had to make some changes to it a few times. My goal is to make it burn by my B-day Feb 13/. From there hook it to 350 engine.
Then build a new one for multible hook-ups uses will be / tractor/ truck/ motorhome/.

Took propane tank old wated pressure tank and many other peaces out of my scap and got started. results below // with many more to come. Will add as I get more done.

Hey Dennis, Thanks for the comment! The cooler is an old electric oil heater. The cyclone is a 1/2 inch pipe inside a 1 inch pipe, the one inch pipe is 6 inches longer than the 1/2 inch
and is capped off. Works great, last night I noticed only fine ash in the bottom on the cyclone(no tar at all)

Looking foward to seeing your progress aswell Dennis!

Thanks, Chris

The first two were practice use mt forming device got it to work good enought to make one.
P.S. Two days ago Iooked at you video trying to lite your gas. I found that if you put a little larger tube over the gas outlet(smoke)
It will pull air in thur the tube mix with gas an burn. Space it evenly around the pipe.

You were asking about my injector.... I am using a simple pancake air compressor running about about 30psi continuously. There are photos of the injector plans as well on my profile page. Good luck!

I will get more tomorrow of the complete unit. I did more modifications and built, or am in the proses of it, a cooler and filter. The cooler is similar to yours. Hey, thanks for getting back to me so fast. I am off grid, have the most beautiful forest land in southern Or. and and I need to get a good way to make it produce the gas I need. 3 to 5$ per gal is to much.

I'm having the same problem, lots of smoke and title or no flames. Did you find out why?

I am just wondering, what is final usage of gas from your device. Since you have a cooler (which is mainly used to condense tars from gas) you are also have to put cyclone before cooler. Otherwise your will clog your cooler with tars+soot mixture, that looks, smells and feels like real sh..t. :(
