Early Homesteaders burned Cow Patties for heat as do millions of others even now in developing countries.
Heat value when dry will be at least 8500 btu / lb.

Devlin : I think your right on the money with the briquette strategy .... It takes so much less infrastructure and start up capital to do the above ....
There are some sites with videos that are amazing in their simplicity .. and the equipment is compact.

I am new to this blog thing but thought I would ask if anyone out there has done any work with Coffee Grounds as fuel for Gasification.
I have been working for the last 4 years on pelletizing the waste and have a suitable product and am working on the streamlining of the whole process but I have always thought that the grounds themselves being of such uniform size would lend themselves to be used directly for fuel. Gasification I think has some exciting possibilities.
