european companies

Hi everyone!

Several times the themes of either simplicity, or tried and true designs come forth to help the beginner get it successuful the first time around. Many a word of encouragement to start and learn from the failure curve. I say curve because many great intentions get seperated into various stages of not producing good gas! We read about Europe running on wood in WW11 and there are pictures and some diagrams of types. Are there old complete plans from any of these tried and proven companies in existance that a novice could literally copy and have a unit like the good ol' boys ran europe on? For instance, I'd love to replicate the VW version as there are some VW's running and for sale. Anyone come across this type of plan availability?

for the French companies one you may have to on yahoo or google.fr and put the name of the company.

Fantastic articles! Amazing how many words and some thoughts one can read just scanning! My relatives were German! The article from 1940 is a great piece of history and I notice many interesting designs and great carburation diagrams. This confirms that these articles are out there. Would be fantastic to build a library site containing these types of books and diagrams, pictures etc. here on Victory Gas Works that will allow preservation of this heritage! Great detective work!
