Paraffin wax's are produced in the making of F-T fuels. I thought a discussion on waxes would be a good topic.
Using Fischer-Tropsch in producing gasoline, Involves converting Syngas to a higher molecular weight, making a waxy hydrocarbon over a cobalt/iron catalyst, and then the best part, hydrocracking it to kerosene and next creating diesel distillates.

Fire breathing too?

Hell yeah!
There is so much great stuff to read out there! I'll try to post info relevant for small scale. Maybe a discussion on how to build small scale unit step by step. It is important to have understanding of the F-T process. I have a pretty good idea now of what I would like to complete, but I'm constantly learning more. 90% read 10% do for me most of the time. Though 50/50 R&D time, I would like much more. :)
Also thanks to everyone who has contributed in this group, I have since become aware of many issues that I will need to understand if I ever want to make my own gas.
I also signed up with Patent Storm.com,
found This little Gem, some good info
(process for softening Fischer-Tropsch wax with mild hydrotreating)
Thanks
